You're a startup or early stage firm going for a round; have you thought about branding?

Yes, branding. While there are many ways to brand a firm, the most significant, the first semiotic charge...the first impression, essentially an emotional response...that a potential investor reacts to is...drum roll... YOUR LOGO!

When they look at your Teaser, the 1 page summary designed to stimulate interest, and/or pitch deck and certainly your website, if there's a distinct, creative, logo...reflective of your core business...symbolic... perhaps even emotionally charged...you've just won the 1st battle!

You've succeeded in both immediately capturing attention and creating interest. On the other hand, if your logo isn't effective, doesn't serve this purpose, you may have lost the 1st round of the battle for differentiation and attention.
