Are you TOO cheap? Are you going too far to save money?
I'm a big fan of "cheap" – not when cheap means poor quality but when cheap means a good deal where you get a quality product/service for a good price. As you know, I'm an advocate of starting a business as "cheap" as possible.
BUT – Sometimes you do need to spend some money to get the tools and information you need to succeed.
Don't starve your business (and your life!) by Being Cheap.
There is so much free information available online today that it's easy to just "snack" on freebies, teasers, and promotional content without ever actually buying anything.
I think that's a mistake.
If only consuming "freebies" has become your reflex, a habitual ritual, you have gone too far.
Invest Instead of Spend
You should actually spend MORE money if that spending yields a positive return (ROI). A college education can be a good investment, for example. So can buying "some" books, Internet marketing courses, or community memberships. I encourage you to try some of these products and activities, whether mine or elsewhere.
Sometimes you need to open up your wallet and invest in your own future. If you do that with the right amount of research and prudence, positive investments in yourself can really help accelerate your success.
Don't just be cheap. Be smart!
